Bretts parents came to visit after Hayden was born and it was really nice to have them out here to help! While they were here visiting we made a trip to Kirtland Ohio. One of our favorite things about living here is the fact that we are so close to so many church history sites! We loved our trip to kirtland and look forward to visiting other sites while we are here. Here are some pictures of our trip.
The Kitland Templewas beautiful and it was amazing to go inside and see the craftsmanship and hard work that went into it!
This is outside a saw mill in historic kirtland that has been restored. It was built by Bretts great great great (I am not sure how many greats) grandpa Joel Johnson.

Outside of the Newel K Whitney store that was so prominent in the early days of the church! This building was fully restored and even stocked with items similiar to those that would have been sold when the store was still in operation.
This is the school of the prophets (inside the Newel K whitney store). The spirit we felt in this room was amazing. The sister missionaries shared some really cool stories about the school of the prophets and bore their testimonies. It was probably our favorite part of the trip!
