I knew that there was no way that I would just start working out without a goal....So a while back I was talking to a few of my sisters and my sister Melissa mentioned the Wasatch Back run in June this year and how fun it would be to do it.. YEAH RIGHT was my first thought, but I realize it's just what I need to get me going.

It's a rely with 12 people. It's 187 miles from Logan Utah to Park City Utah. I will be running a total of 13 miles (pray for me) and I couldn't be more excited. I got some really good running shoes, bought a cheap treadmill on craigslist until I can get outside and run with Hayden, and I'm ready to go. I started working out this past week and ran a mile... A MILE!!!!! I know that may seem pathetic but it was quite the accomplishment for me!
So along with 2 of my sisters and 9 other girls, we're going to run the Wasatch Back! Wish me luck for the next 5 months of training! I'm going to need it :)

That's awesome, carlee! You will be so glad you did it. I can't wait to hear all about your training and the relay! Good luck:)
The good thing about running is that after a few weeks, it is actually really enjoyable :) Whenever I have stopped running I always dread the first month but after that I am addicted again! You can totally do this! I know what you mean about setting a goal, it helps me to have something specific to work toward (8 weeks of P90X left!)
Woohoo! You don't need luck, you will be amazing!
Good luck! I tried to make it a game to figure out where my "walls" were. That made me want to keep increasing the mileage. Mine were 3 and 10. What are yours? Then I tried to push both walls. You can do this!
Awesome! Jake did that a couple of years ago. You will get addicted to working out. Once you get in the habit, you will feel so good. You will feel so skinny even if it doesn't show on the scale - or if it does. Lucky for you, with your "unhealthy habits" (let's be honest, no one likes the 'healthier' choices), you stay so thin! I could never get away with that. Good luck!
You go sister. You CAN DO IT!!!
You're awesome! You can do it, and then you can say you've accomplished something huge. I'm looking forward to joining the exercising world again soon. :)
i am the same way...as evident in my nice weight gain each pregnancy! one of my brothers and his wife are trying to convince jeff and me (jeff doesn't need convincing but i do!) to do one in georgia this oct. we will see. i think it is awesome you are doing it. i can't wait to hear about it! i have heard it is an amazing experience- sounds like way more fun than a boring race all by yourself. good luck!!
Awe man! I was THIS close to registering for the Wastach Back. I figured it would be a good post prego goal. I decided not too though. I don't remember why. Isn't it a pretty expensive one? I don't remember. I bet you'll love it though! Good luck!
Good luck carlee that is awesome. Good luck training.
You will love it! Good luck! I started running after I had Peter and am now addicted. Its actually fun once you get past the first 3 weeks of building your endurance!
Hooray for trying to like exercise!! Good luck with your relay. That's so exciting! I literally just signed up for a 5K and Saturday ran a whole mile without walking (probably the first since soccer :D ) And I'm hoping to do a half-marathon next January... Good luck to both of us :)
You will do great Car! Good luck... and I'll see you there!
I'm proud of you Carlee. Having bad knees and a bad back, I understand that it's hard to run, even mile sometimes. Especially with kids!!
YEA! I love to hear your going to try to like working out! You look absolutely fabulous but it's so good for us in the long run! Wasatch Back is such a great way to do it! So hard, but so worth it! You'll do GREAT! Good luck!
YAY!! You are going to do so good! What a blast! I'm jealous!
