A Little Piece of Heaven

Almost a whole year ago a whole bunch of us dental students reserved a beach house in Outer Banks North Carolina.  We found the perfect house, the first week of "off season" so that we could possibly afford it :)  So as each month passed while waiting we got more and more anxious and excited.  Hurricane Earl hit the week we were supposed to go which had us all a little worried.  They had to evacuate the island but opened it back up the day before we were to arrive. The weather was more than perfect. 80's everyday and no rain.  To me this seemed like a dream vacation..a beach house right on the beach with 7 other couples in one huge house with a private pool, a home theater that fit 18 people, game room ect.  Let me tell you...this vacation didn't disappoint.  See for yourself..

The waves weren't great for surfing so most of the time was spent boogie boarding and body surfing

The trip consisted mostly of hanging out at the pool and the beach.  Lots of relaxing and spending time with friends.  Hayden LOVED the beach and was quite the dare devil.  Brett was so helpful and loved getting lots of time with his little guy.

 The day before the trip was through we decided to take a drive down the island to ride the ferry to a different island to go to dinner.  We knew that Hayden would love the boat ride and we thought it would be fun so off we went

Outer Banks was definitely as amazing as we had hoped.  It ended too soon.

Did I mention how well we ate?  We all took a meal (either breakfast or dinner) and it was amazing.  We ate so well and it was fun to eat all together everyday.  Good friends, lots of sun bathing, movies in the theater with Hayden, late night games...like I said.. a little piece of heaven!  Hopefully we can go back again someday :)
