Well it's about time I blogged don't you think? Beckham is now 9 days old. Life is so sweet:)
I went into the hospital at 6:30 am last friday morning (April 15th) to be induced. I was so excited and anxious praying my labor would be much smoother than it was with Hayden. Brett and I pretty much just sat around until 8:00. They finally came in and got me all hooked up, and started me on petocin. The doctor came in about an hour later and broke my water and told me I could have my epidural whenever I wanted. I decided to wait..The waiting lasted about 30 minutes and I was READY. My contractions were less than 3 minutes apart and getting really painful. I LOVED my anesthesiologist. Everything was going really well. My epidural kicked in enough to take the edge off but never really took full effect. I still felt the contractions enough to be uncomfortable. The doctor came in and checked me and I was at a 10. He laughed and said "didn't you tell my that you pushed for 2 1/2 hours with your first baby?" I of course said yes. He said "This baby will be out in 10 minutes." He was right. I pushed probably 8 times and little Beckham was here :) A DREAM compared to pushing with Hayden. So from the time I was started until the time I delivered him it only took 4 hours.
Standing in my delivery room right when
we got to the hospital
Not so thrilled about the oxygen :)

He's HERE :)
7 lbs 5 oz 20 inches long
Beckham was exactally 1 lb smaller than Hayden was. He seems SOOO tiny and hasn't bulked up like Hayden did. Hayden started putting weight on really fast.
The hospital stay was nice. Nice but really really lonely. It was hard not having Brett with me the whole time but he had to be home with Hayden. A friend took Hayden for a few hours so that Brett could come see us without having to chase Hayden around which was really great, but I missed having him there with me.
My mother in law got here on Wednesday and she has been such a great help. Hayden loves her so much and has really kept him busy. Hayden is responding great to the baby, always wanting to hold him and kiss him, tickle his toes, cuddle him ect but is missing the "mommy time". It's hard on me to see him act out or talk naughty because of it, but I know that it's normal and will pass with time (I hope).

We are doing well. I'm feeling pretty good and know that this healing process will be about a million times faster than with Hayden. Beckham is so sweet and still so tiny. He is nursing really well and sleeping pretty good too (if I'm holding him...bad habit I know). We are in love.
Here are a few more pictures of our little guy
First Bath at home
My mom is here now for 2 weeks. A blissful 2 weeks it will be. Brett is off to Jamaica at the end of this week. So excited for him. We will miss him but am so proud of him.

He is such a cutie! I have to come see him again! I'm laughing at how he sleeps well as long as he's being held- I know what that's like. SO glad the nursing is going well and that your mom is there.

Congratulations to you all! I loved reading about your birth, and I'm so glad everything went well! Beckham is just darling:)
He is beautiful. I am so glad that things went well. I have been checking your blog to see when he had arrived. It is so funny how big your older one seems after a baby is in the house for a while. We are excited for you.

It's fun to finally see pictures of him. I can't believe he was a whole lb lighter than Hayden, how nice.
You looked great going in, so I know it probably won't be long before you're back to normal again. Have fun while he's little.
