4 Months Old!

I took Hayden to his 4 month appointment! Although it's never fun to take your baby to get shots, I've been looking forward to his appointment for a few weeks! I was anxious to see where he is on the charts, for them to see his amazing progress and was hoping they would tell me that he could start eating rice cereal! This is how it went...
In the waiting room waiting to be called. He just kept looking at me like
"I know where we are mom". It was kind of funny! He wouldn't stop staring at me

I like that they have the baby in a onesie instead of naked because it is soo
cold here! He LOVED that paper on the table

I know that I'm bias but he is so dang cute!

Two shots in one leg (only 2 this time which was better than last time)
He cried a little but did really good!

Just minutes after....only half a smile really...but it's still a smile

His first experience with food :) Rice cereal yum!

Not really a fan

This Picture sums it up! It was the funniest thing ever! I think
it was just weird eating off a spoon! He looks like he's in pain LOL

I can't believe Hayden has been with us for 4 months already! He has brought so much joy into our home! He is my best little buddy! Every morning when he wakes up he starts babbling in his crib, rarely does he wake up crying! He is the sweetest in the morning and always helps to start out my day happy! I know I've often said how blessed I feel to be a mom but I can't say it enough! It's the most amazing thing that I've ever been a part of. I had a client once ask me why I wanted to be a mom! (she's not a big fan of kids and thinks the world is too populated as it is) She asked if I wanted kids because of my religious beliefs or because that's what women are "supposed" to do... I gladly answered yes to all of it! Religiously I believe very strongly in families! I have never felt obligated because of my religion to have kids though! Also I am so happy that I am a woman and that I can can experience having children! Then I told her the biggest reason that I wanted to be a mom.... It's because of my mom. I have the fondest memories of my mom when I was little singing funny songs in her high falsetto and giggling so much while she tucked me in and kissed me goodnight! I remember her taking the time (even though I'm 8 of 9 kids) to make sure I knew I was loved. All the games, dancing with me in the kitchen, songs we sang and the list goes on..That is why I wanted to be a mom. I can only hope that I can be the kind of mom to my children that my mom is to me! I can't think of anything more life fulfilling than being a mom! And I thank Heavenly Father EVERY day for Hayden!

Anyway just as I thought Hayden is a chunk :) He weighs 17 lbs which is the 90th percentile and is 27 inches long which is the 95th percentile!! He is healthy and strong! The doctor couldn't believe his strength! She thinks he'll be crawling at 6 months!! AHHH I hope not. He's already growing up to fast :) He can roll over, sit up on his own for about 10 seconds, can stand up on his own while holding my fingers, and says "mommy"! I'm kidding :) I love my little man and look forward to every day with him!

I love what you said about your mom and hope one day my kids say things like that when they are older and parents themselves! Hayden is yummy as always! What a trooper!

Wow Car, that was a tear jerker. I'm sure mom cried. Good for you for saying what you did about why you wanted to be a mom. You're such a GREAT example Carlee.
