Never to forget

Lately Hayden has said and done so many funny things that I never want to forget.

*Hayden LOVES Rylee so much. A few months ago Hayden was running around chasing her around the house. All the sudden Hayden stopped and crouched down to "hide" and Rylee came running around the corner (not realizing that Hayden had stopped chasing her) and he jumped out and yelled BOO!!

*A while back every morning I'd get Hayden up, come downstairs, give him a sippy cup of milk and then he'd book it upstairs to see Rylee. Rylee doesn't sleep on our bed but when we get up for the day Rylee jumps up on the bed until she's "ready" to get up too. Hayden has figured out how to climb up onto our bed. He would play (more like harass) with Rylee for 20 min everyday until Rylee was fed up and ready to come downstairs. That only lasted about a month. Now if Rylee hears Hayden coming up the stairs she immediately starts coming downstairs. Smart pup :)

* Hayden calls me 3 things....Mama, Mom and Mimi. All for different reasons (and he's pretty consistent). He calls me Mama most of the time; when we're playing, or when he wants something. He calls me Mom if he's mad, frustrated, or calling me from another room......Mmmmmmmmmmom is what it sounds like :) and he calls me Mimi when he's tired, hurt or whining.

*He's obsessed with being outside. He LOVES every part of it. The exploring, the bugs, the dirt, the birds, the planes, all of it. The other day we were outside and he dropped his Sippy Cup in the dirt so I went in for a minute to wash it off leaving him outside. I stood at the sink looking at him through the window and he just stared at me so serious.....I looked down for 2 seconds and looked back up and he had a really weird look on his face (like he was doing something sneaky). I went back out and said "Hayden what are you doing"? I could tell there was something in his mouth. He smiled and turned around to run and I caught him and he bursted out laughing oozing tons of black mud out of his mouth. Little stinker!

*We were playing outside again and he picked up a pretty big rock and put some of it in his mouth...Before I could say "no no" he said "MMMMMMMMMMMMM num num mama". I almost peed my pants.

*He's gotten used to Brett being around a lot because of his break from school, that now every morning he says "Where'd he go"? (with his hands up like he's asking a question). It's one of my favorite things he says. So cute!

*He also loves to say "stuck". We took him to the Zoo the other day. We went into the area where the monkeys are and he kept saying "stuck, stuck, stuck" over and over. Brett and I laughed telling him they aren't stuck...but then realized they totally are stuck in those cages. He's a smart little guy.

*Every time he sees a baby he puts his finger up to his mouth and says "Shhhhhhh baby" He is really cute with my friends Kimi's baby. He loves to give him "loves" and tries to share his toys with him (he's like 2 months old).


These are just a few of the precious moments I've had with my little man. He's talking so much and we're loving him more and more each day. Life isn't always easy that's for sure, but Hayden has brought so much joy into home. We couldn't love him more!
