Our week of "relaxing"

It's never a dull moment around here. We were so excited to have a week with Brett home to finish up some projects, continue working in our yard and just relaxing....HA yeah right. Over the winter (since we had the most snow Pittsburgh has had in 17 years) we had some water damage to the ceiling of our front patio (luckily no damage inside our house which would have been much worse). It had ruined the whole ceiling and needed to be ripped out and redone. Brett didn't think it would be too hard so he decided to tackle it.....We forget our house is like a million years old....They used to insulate houses with SAW DUST!!!! (and of course asbestos)

This job took pretty much our whole week. It was a nightmare but Brett got it fixed.


We have been working on our yard for about a year now. It seems like the never ending project due mostly to the crazy weather we have here. Pretty much every time Brett has a minute to go and work in the yard it's raining really hard. We are not finished yet but here's a teaser of the beginning of the project :)

What do you do with a hole in your yard......(the previous owner had an above ground swimming pool...hence the hole)
