Bretts trip to Jamaica

Brett served a mission for our church on an island called Vanuatu (it's near Figi).  A group of dentists came to do a service mission of dentistry for the people there.  That is the first time that Brett thought about being a Dentist.  (I'm going to brag on Brett for a min).  Brett loves to serve and does so willingly.  This is something that I truly love about him.  Brett is always helping people with home projects, moving ect.  Anyway Brett knew that if he ever became a dentist, that he would dedicate as much time as he could to doing service to those who couldn't afford it.  When this trip to Jamaica came up I totally jumped on the idea.  We didn't know the dates but had got it in our mind that he should go if chosen... Well then we found out that it was 1 1/2 weeks after I was due with Beckham so I started to back peddle with my support for this trip.  Even though my mom was going to be here I didn't think I could do without Brett's help with Hayden...so I panicked and told him I didn't think he should go.  He didn't complain but I knew he was disappointed.  After praying about it a lot I decided that I would live if he left.  The timing wasn't ideal but nothing ever really is right?  He kept telling me that we would be blessed from him going, and I decided that he was right.  Brett amazes me.  I realized something while he gone.  He is so helpful and patient.  He is selfless and the best dad/husband I could have ever dreamed of.  I love him even more than I thought was possible.

Here are some great pictures of his trip

This is the clinic where they worked (yikes)
This is everyone who went

This boys front teeth were broken in half and Brett built them back up. CRAZY!

We missed him.  It was only a week but we were so glad to have him home.

All together they did 361 extractions, 57 restorations (fillings), 20 sealants, and 83 cleanings.  This is something that I know Brett plans on doing many times in our lives with our kids.  I am so excited for our children to see just how amazing their dad is and how dedicated he is to helping people.
